Job Description
Position Title: Educational Technology Coordinator (Full-time) Status: Exempt
Department: IT Services Revised: May 7, 2010
Reports to: IT Director
Position Summary:
Coordinates educational technology services, training and support across school campus. Acts as Level One and Two (Computer/Printer/Phone and local LAN) Hardware\Software service representative. Works with IT Director on Internet and external connection issues. Promotes the integration of educational technology into the curriculum through workshops and training sessions. Collaborates with faculty in designing and implementing technology-rich courses.
Position Responsibilities:
- Educational Technology Management:
- Troubleshoots IT equipment as needed, coordinating with Information Technology Director.
- Serves as initial contact on maintaining Network and Email accounts.
- Develops and facilitates faculty workshops and training sessions relating to educational technology.
- Provides support for creating and maintaining virtual learning resources and serves as the primary faculty, student and faculty contact for Google Docs and Mail.
- Visits classes by request, to provide demonstrations of virtual learning tools.
- Creates documentation and/or designs online tutorials on using virtual learning tools.
- Maintains educational technology resources on site.
- Researches and investigates the latest trends and developments in academic software and hardware used for higher education, including emerging technologies.
- Assists IT Director in other duties as assigned.
- Instruction and Research:
- Research, plan, and provide a Professional Development class to staff and teachers at least once a month.
- Research, plan, and provide Enrichment Computer Skills classes to 5th-8th grade students at least 4 hours per week.
- Professional:
- Maintains current awareness of emerging technologies, keeping in mind their possible application to the Collaborative educational services.
- Professional activities and presentations beyond own responsibilities are encouraged and noted, but not required.

- Position Requirements:
- Training and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Successful technical training or experience working with local area networks required.
- Experience working in an educational environment.
- Knowledge, Ability and Skills:
- Working knowledge of curriculum and the aligning technology with the school’s strategic directions.
- Experience in providing training for adults.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with teachers, administrators and school staff.
- Evidence of leadership and organizational skills.
- Considerable working knowledge of computer operating systems used in the school (e.g.Windows and/or Linux).
- Experience with local area networks and Windows\Linux networking software.
- Physical Requirements:
- Requires operating computer equipment, moving and lifting computer equipment, and related peripherals (bending, sitting, standing, walking, pushing, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity) to include cable connections (finger dexterity).
- Training and Experience:
Annual salary is $36,783.00 plus excellent benefits offered. EOE
